LOVERS FOR MUSICIANS HURRICANE RELIEF CONCERT!
Fremont Baptist Church 717 36th Correo Aéreo and, Piper's Creek, Harper Tasche, Crookshank, and Telynor!!!! Proceeds go to the American Federation Of Musicians (who will match donations dollar for dollar up to $100,000 dollars), and The New Orleans Chapter of American Harp Association. Plus 40% of all CD sales will also be donated. This concert came about because a harp player I know from New Orleans wrote to me. She is president of the New Orleans chapter of the American Harp Association, and one of many musicians who have lost everything including their instruments and equiptment. Which means they have no way to make a living, by the way... She wanted to help other musicians rather than just worry about herself, so I called Eileen over at Dusty Strings and asked if we could do something to help. She got right on it and between her and Diane Moss, The Puget Sound Harp Players Association and Dusty Strings, and all these great musicians, we have a georgous concert to offer!!! Please come and support Musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina. Red Cross has recieved so much funding from us all, which is great, but does not address needs beyond basic emergency relief. |
